Now in it’s fifth year, Philanthropy on the Vineyard is the premier convening of some of our most action-oriented philanthropists in the African American community with our foremost thought leaders, social entrepreneurs and change agents.
Philanthropy on the Vineyard is intentionally intimate – an invitation-only gathering of some 125 attendees engaged in 2 ½ days of deep learning, meaningful collaboration and authentic fellowship, in the reclusive, resort-like setting of Martha’s Vineyard. No one is a passive observer. Attendees bring their whole selves to the Vineyard, actively contributing to a dynamic environment of discovery and innovation. Their assumptions are questioned … their thinking stretched … their spirits touched. They leave Philanthropy on the Vineyard with promising solutions and real commitments for catalyzing systemic change in our communities.
Philanthropy on the Vineyard is the vision of Christal M. Jackson, FounderofHead and Heart Philanthropy. This year, in partnership withThe Raben Group and with gratitude toward our long-time supporters Black Gives Back, Sustainatopia and the Tides Center, we celebrate 5 years of seeding innovation and inspiring action.
Key highlights for this 5th anniversary include:
- A moving celebration of our philanthropic luminaries;
- A new parallel track intended to support the growth and development of impact investing opportunities in communities of color.
- An exploration of win-win opportunities for collaboration between the African American community and our Latino brothers and sisters.
